As of this afternoon, the PC men's hockey team has released its 2009-10 season schedule for public viewing: http://www.friars.com/sports/m-hockey/sched/prov-m-hockey-sched.html
Selected highlights of the slate include:
A renewed practice of clashing with a Canadian Interuniversity squad -rather than each other- to get everyone's skates whet for the season. New Brunswick shall drop in at Schneider Arena on Friday, October 9, one evening before Holy Cross supplements the Opening Night card, just as they did two years ago.
The Mayor's Cup game, lined up for Tuesday, November 17, will be the only other home interleague game. PC will pay a two-night visit to Notre Dame October 15-16, Bowling Green the following weekend, and make a night trip Dartmouth Saturday, November 28.
Only two other weekday contests -both Tuesdays- those being a November 24 visit from Lowell and a January 12 venture to Northeastern.
The tentative time for their lone visit to Vermont -Sunday, November 8, with a 4:00 opening draw- does not confirm the intended presence of ESPNU cameras, but it does make you think if you could make an educated guess.
The regular season will round out over the first weekend of March with a home-and-home set versus Merrimack.
